Back on board Elyse for about 10 days.
Main project is to get the stainless arch for the solar panels fitted.
I unpacked the arch yesterday...took all morning. We assembled it in the engineers workshop and the welder welded it together...it looks beautiful !
It was to be put on the boat this afternoon, but they ran out of argon and polishing pads, so hopefully it will happen tomorrow.
In the meantime, I installed the new gearbox for the main outhaul on the boom. Very hard getting the shaft out - a chap with a bigger hammer did the trick - then taking it apart and putting it back together went seamlessly - and its all working smoothly !
Also, replaced the drive cone in the outboard propellor and installed a 1500W 230V inverter in the cupboard over the sinks, so we can use small appliances without having to start the genset.
So quite a productive day !
